Delicate pieces-in-hands compilation ~ The Human Touch!

This week has been really different for me – things happened that made me think about my blog, my passion and the reasons behind. I got asked twice in different gatherings about my blog and love for china! Forming answers made me think about the “why” of my journey. And then the same day hashtag #whyijoinedtwitter took the tweeters by storm and once again I was forced to look deeper into the reasons! I loved reading people’s purpose to join twitter. Mine was simply to have presence in the social media although of all the accounts I have, twitter is the least used one. So my commitment to myself: use twitter more!!

Anyway, going back to the “why” – to answer myself the question, I opened my Dropbox and started going through the pictures starting from 2010. That turned out to be one nostalgic memory lane of my little passion turned side hustle. First order, first styled shoot, first inventory photo session – so many pictures strung the timeline of this beautiful journey. My computer screen woke up with images of delicate objects of my affection and collection. Granted the old and vintage china looks lovely laid out on linen, so dreamy and majestic, what I realized was the fact that the real feeling brought to my collection is the human touch! There are quite a few images of these delicate objects held by brides, grooms, brides-to-be, moms-to-be, friends, guests, models ~ each adding the charm of real life around the plate, teacup, teapot. With hands wrapped around these non-living pieces, casually or for the camera, the transformation is so full of joy and life. The happiness these pieces have created in so many people’s life makes me proud. Thank you to all the amazing clients, skilled photographers, outstanding stylists and talented models that I had the pleasure of teaming up with; I have a lovely image gallery of the pieces that I own and share with others for their happy occasions! This album itself is a story of my love for vintage and old pieces and my journey in this passion; the passion that I brought with me from Pakistan. And guess what’s new? I am leaving for London next Wednesday for a week! I can’t wait to sip tea in that land, I can’t wait to add to my collection. There is some charm associated with acquiring a teacup or a pot from England! I will document the travel soon as I come back, till then enjoy this compilation of beautiful pieces in hands!
